108 Bead Rudraksha Mala
The number 108 has a special significance across many Indian spiritual traditions. During japa, one bead is traditionally moved for each repetition of a mantra. The Guru bead marks the end of one cycle — rather than crossing it, practitioners traditionally reverse the direction of the mala and continue.
Traditional Spiritual Significance
Rudraksha is traditionally associated with Lord Shiva, meditation, devotion and spiritual discipline. Many practitioners choose Rudraksha malas as part of their daily japa and meditation practice.
These are traditional spiritual beliefs and associations and should not be interpreted as guaranteed medical, therapeutic or supernatural effects.
Customise Your Rudraksha Mala
Your spiritual practice is personal. Your mala can be too. With Ishwar Tattva customisation, you can choose from available options such as:
- Combining Rudraksha with different natural wooden beads
- Selecting your preferred Guru bead
- Choosing the quality and colour of the tassel
- Choosing between thread and string
- Selecting your preferred bead size
Create a Rudraksha mala that reflects your own practice and aesthetic.
How to Use Your Rudraksha Mala
Sit comfortably in a clean and peaceful space. Hold the mala gently and begin with the bead next to the Guru bead. Use your thumb and middle finger to move one bead at a time while reciting your chosen mantra. Complete one repetition per bead. When you reach the Guru bead, do not cross it — turn the mala around and continue in the opposite direction.
Care & Storage
Rudraksha is a natural seed and should be handled with care. Avoid prolonged exposure to water, excessive moisture, chemicals and perfumes. When not in use, keep your Rudraksha Jap Mala in a clean mala bag or cloth pouch.
A traditional bead. A timeless practice. A mala made for the seeker in you.
